Landau Forte Charitable Trust has a clear governance structure in place overseen by a Board of Trustees. Each Academy has its own Education Advisory Committee (see below) with the authority to create additional subcommittees for the discharge of their responsibilities.
The membership of the Board of Trustees and Education Advisory Committee Bodies is clearly defined in the Trust’s Articles of Association, which are publicly available on the Trust’s website.

I am a chartered accountant with 20 years’ experience and I have lived and worked in Derby all my life. I have two grown up daughters who had varying experiences of school life. I have wanted to utilise my technical and parental experience through supporting schools as a school governor for some time. I have now been a governor at Landau Forte Moorhead since the middle of 2019 and I am really looking forward helping Landau Forte Moorhead become the best it can be over next few years

I have been in education for 20 years; starting out as an Education Care Officer specialising in behaviour support and pastoral care before qualifying as a Learning Mentor and HLTA with responsibility for curriculum enrichment and student engagement.
I now teach PE across KS1 & KS2 at Becket Primary - a thriving inner-city school in the centre of Derby.
I believe in affording children as wide a range of opportunities as possible in a friendly, supportive and nurturing environment.

Being a past student at Landau Forte College Derby, I want to be able to offer students at Moorhead the same excellent education and opportunities that I benefitted from during my time within the trust.
This is my first school governor role and I am very enthusiastic to get going. I know it will be a steep learning curve but I am hoping I can bring my experience of driving quality & performance in large organisations and sharing best practice between providers to positively contribute to Moorhead’s aspirations for its students. I work for the NHS across the Midlands, helping organisations to work collaboratively and provide mutual aid.
At home, my wife and I have two children that are primary school age and a young daughter that was born during lockdown. We also have a greyhound called Remy, who loves showing off how fast he is on the local park.
Governor
I studied engineering in France and then England, having fallen in love with science at the age of 10. Over the past 20 years or so, I have worked for the ministry of defence, research laboratories, small-medium enterprises and large multi-national organisations. I have worked on military jets and with some of the best aerospace engineers in the country.
At Rolls-Royce, I have managed large, international, multi skilled teams, project risks and multi millions pounds budgets, including grant applications.
I am a STEM ambassador and like to get involved in volunteering work locally, to raise aspirations of young people, where my family commitments allow.
I share Landau Forte Trust’s values and vision to raise the standard. I feel privileged to take part in Landau Forte ambitious programme to ensure all academies under their trust excel.
